The MIDI control panel accessible via the bottom left icon permits configuration of volume, attack velocity, vibrato intensity, and MIDI channel. All user preferences are automatically saved between sessions. Transposition options allow pitch shifting up or down by up to an octave in semitone steps using a dedicated slider.

The "Transmit MIDI Port" switch toggles between "Omni," broadcasting MIDI data to all connected CoreMIDI apps (default setting), and "Virtual Port," routing messages to a specified core MIDI virtual output port. When in "Virtual Port" mode, MIDIFlute appears as an input option in compatible apps like ThumbJam and MidiBridge. All settings are preserved across application restarts.

A 'Shhh' icon in the upper left corner provides a quick method to send an "All Notes Off" message to silence any lingering notes caused by stuck keys or glitches.
